A complete desert-night Nativity scene, made one small project at a time. Crochet the Holy Family, visitors, animals and the setting around them with a coordinated collection of 24 patterns across four PDF books, 164 pages in total.

- The Setting — 41 pages: sand mat, open stable, comet star, manger, stone well, campfire and two palm trees.
- The Holy Family & Wise Men — 47 pages: Baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, three Wise Men, their gifts and Joseph's staff.
- The Villagers & Camel — 42 pages: innkeeper, two shepherds, shepherd's staff and a camel with a striped blanket and packs.
- The Animals — 34 pages: ox, donkey, three sheep, goat and shepherd's dog.
Built to follow, piece by piece
The instructions spell out stitch names, give counts for each row or round, and explain placement and assembly. Each book includes its own technique guidance. The source is written for beginners, but this is a substantial multi-session project: allow time to crochet and assemble the scene.
Finished sizes
With the specified yarn and hook: mat approximately 35 × 20 cm; stable 14 cm tall; camel 13 × 12 cm; palm trees 13 cm; people approximately 10 cm; donkey 8 cm; ox 7 cm; dog 5 cm; goat and sheep 4.5 cm; well 6 cm; campfire 4.5 cm. Your gauge and materials can change the finished size.
What you will need
Medium / #4 worsted-weight acrylic yarn, a 4 mm crochet hook, stuffing, cardboard, a hot-glue gun, yarn needle, pins and stitch markers. Craft wire and a battery LED tea light are optional. Follow the pattern's assembly guidance; adult handling is needed for hot glue and wire. Display away from open flames.
